Center School District - South Kansas City's best kept secret.   Great staff. Great teachers. Great facilities. But what makes it truly GREAT is the CENTER COMMUNITY. At Center, the academic experience extends far beyond the doors of the newly renovated schools and into the homes and businesses of the community - it is a way of life.   It's the volunteers - parents, alumni, patrons, and staff - that set Center apart from all the rest. Take a look around, they're everywhere you look.   Every day you'll see parent volunteers working at the high school's "Buzz" or middle school's "Buzz II" selling goodies and supplies as a PTA fundraiser.   Parents in the classrooms of elementary schools, tutoring, reading, delivering books, or organizing a carnival.   At any sporting event, parent volunteers sell food and souvenirs to support the "Booster Club" and the sports program.   Band Aides members scramble about at football games and competitions year round, supporting the band program to make it the pride of the district.   Center Stage volunteers paint, sell, build, and more in support of Players 58, Center's thespian group.
